As a researcher, I use several tools for research. Not all resources are continuously being used. Several resources are used for a while and left untouched for a long time. This result into lost of memory, until someone else point back to it. I am unable to keep track of these resources all the time. To solve this problem, I am writing posts under the name “Five Research Resource Series” whenever I get time and compile enough research to develop as a blog post. In each post, I will include five items and write a brief summary of each item listed. I hope these resources will be helpful to a broader set of researchers and professionals.

Connected papers: https://www.connectedpapers.com/ Once you post information about a paper, this tool will find all cited papers in the paper. You can further click cited papers to find further linkage. You can explore cluster of research papers in one or many sectors.

Elicit: https://elicit.com/. Elicit is an AI tool to find “seed articles” and to mine for keywords/subject headings. Once you feed in a question, it further generate other questions that can lead to “seed” papers. This tools use large language models to help automate research workflow such as literature review, and summarize paper by extracting major takeaways of the paper specific to the question. You can also save and export work to citations managers such as Zotero.
