Promoting sustainable agricultural practices at an individual farm level is essential to ensure agricultural sustainability. This study analyzed whether and how various factors related to farm or farmers’ characteristics influence the adoption intensity of sustainable agriculture practices. We used a negative binomial regression model to fit the data collected from a mail survey of farmers in Kentucky, USA. Kentucky was dependent upon tobacco production before the tobacco buyout program since second word war, as it was the most productive crop as well as most profitable business in southern states. The program’s goal was to end tobacco allotment and transiting to free and competitive market. This pushed farmers to alternative business, retire from agriculture, or diversify their farm with varieties of crops and livestock. Abstract: This study mainly deals with rice seed production. There were four treatments (farmyard manure, farmyard manure+inorganic fertilizer, inorganic fertilizer and control) in three varieties (Apo, IR and CT) of rice. Experimental design used was Completely Randomized Block Design (RCBD). Under my supervision, seed production of Apo variety was done with control treatment (without using any fertilizers and manures) in area of 10 m2 (4m*2.5m).
