• My New Paper Related to Sustainable Aviation Fuel is Published in Applied Economics Perspectives and Policy

Title: Exploring Feedstock Pathways to Three Billion Gallons of Sustainable Aviation Fuel: The Roles of Contracts and Bioenergy Crop Insurance Journal: Applied Economic Perspectives and Policy Authors: Ruiqing Miao, Bijesh Mishra, Mohit Anand, Madhu Khanna, Fahd Majeed Abstract: This study examines how contracts and bioenergy crop yield insurance incentivize biomass supply for three billion gallons of sustainable aviation fuel. Results show that meeting feedstock demand by growing uninsured miscanthus requires a fixed biomass price at $78–$86/metric ton, a revenue share of 32%–36%, or a land-leasing payment about $178/acre. Growing uninsured switchgrass requires similar terms. Bioenergy crop insurance partially substitutes for compensation for bearing production…

  • Research Papers Accepted in Multiple Conferences in 2026

I already posted news about my research papers being accepted to present at the World Congress of Environmental and Resource Economists 2026 (WCERE 2026) and 2026 International Energy Workshop (IEW 2026). Besides, my research has been accepted in a few other meetings, which I have included in a single announcement excluding previously announced meetings. • Paper Accepted at the 2026 International Energy Workshop (IEW)

My paper on agrivoltaics adoption—examining how U.S. solar developers perceive and drive dual land-use systems—has been accepted to the 2026 International Energy Workshop (IEW). Selected through a highly competitive review process, this work contributes to ongoing conversations on clean energy transitions, land-use efficiency, and sustainable innovation.

  • Paper Accepted for Presentation at WCERE 2026

My research paper, Scaling Sustainable Aviation Fuel: Cost-Effective Pathways and Regional Economic Impacts, has been accepted for presentation at the World Congress of Environmental and Resource Economists 2026 in Portugal. The study examines how different sustainable aviation fuel production pathways—HEFA, Fischer–Tropsch, and Alcohol-to-Jet—affect production costs and regional economic outcomes in the southern United States, highlighting how technology choices can shape both decarbonization strategies and regional development.
